For a potato to be full of vital nutrients, and to taste great, it needs to have come from a healthy potato plant. For a potato plant to be healthy it has to come from a vital soil. That is exactly what the Demeter farmer provides. Compost made to the exacting Biodynamic principles with the help of preparations made from healing plants lift the soil to a fertile organism, whose humus layer increases. These are the best preconditions for healthy potatoes. And the processing takes it further.

Demeter deep-frozen products are processed gently so that not only all the vitamins and minerals, but also the important secondary nutritional agents and the vitality are retained.

So for example we use no sweeteners or isolated food substances in our potato chips. Only potatoes with an acceptable starch content may be processed to Demeter French fries. Thus close co-operation between the grower and the manufacturer is the most important prerequisite for a healthy, fast-product.
